Wandering  the paved with cobblestones streets of the old city, at 11 Bandery street you can see an interesting building that stands out from the general classical - romantic architectural style of Lviv streets. Compiled from the old dark red bricks with massive wrought iron doors, curved arches around windows and tiled roof tops, from some distance the foreside of the building resembles fortifications of the medieval castle rather than the school premises.  Well, do not be surprised, this is our school.   However, the school rightly occupies such unusual apartments because the building was built on patronage funds in 1883 just as the premises of the institution - a girls' school of St. Mary Magdalene, which existed here until 1914.   In 1914 - 1915 the Russian Red Cross Hospital was placed here. Then the rooms were returned to the schoolgirls. In 1931-1932 there was built a three-storeyed completion, the so-called "White" male school (now - school № 10). In 1943 - 1944 in the former high school building there was a military hospital, and since 1946 these walls welcome the students daily again.
